YDP (Yan Du Projects) is a non-profit art space at 19 Bedford Square, London, founded by Yan Du and dedicated to artists from diverse Asian backgrounds. KitMapper has worked with YDP since before it opened, and has installed its exhibitions and supported its live programme ever since.
Before opening, 2025
Ahead of the opening we surveyed the listed Georgian townhouse: an access study setting out how large artworks could move through its doors and staircases, and an assessment of lighting and power across the five galleries and lower ground floor.
Duan Jianyu, Yúqiáo, 2025
YDP's inaugural exhibition, curated by Yang Zi in collaboration with YDP. Two KitMapper teams unpacked, condition-checked and hung twenty new paintings across seven rooms and the conservatory, on post hanging systems and painted feature walls, alongside sculpture, sketches and film.
Living, Rehearsing…, 2026
A performance programme guest curated by Zhuo Mengting with YDP curators Erin Li and Billy Tang. For Soundings, Crossings and Reverberance we supplied PA, projection, lighting and multichannel sound installations synced on BrightSign, with sound, AV and lighting technicians on each live day. Read more about Soundings.
Harit Srikhao, Cave Stories 0, 2026
Curated by Jun Shen. We advised on projection, then installed around forty photographs, drawings and hanging puppet prototypes in darkened rooms, with a stop-motion animation projection-mapped onto a sheet of dibond.
Unlicensed Goods, 2026
A forty-artist group exhibition curated by Billy Tang. We installed the show, adapted works during its run and de-installed it.
true names, 2026
Guest curated by Yuan Fuca with YDP curator Jun Shen: twenty artists across three floors. A team of five to six worked for nine days on suspended bronze sculptures, floor-to-ceiling hanging systems, a fragile seed-bead curtain and a listening room, and on a three-channel synced rear projection of Colectivo Los Ingrávidos' Tierra en trance.
