We don't use tracking cookies. We don't run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or fingerprinting on this website. We do use a small amount of your browser's local storage to remember UI preferences and to record that you've dismissed the storage notice.
1. What We Store
We use the browser's localStorage API. The values listed below are written to your device only — they are not transmitted to KitMapper or any third party.
2. What We Don't Store
3. Server-Side Logs
Our hosting provider (Netlify) records standard web request information — IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention, and reliability monitoring. These logs are not used to identify or profile individual visitors and are deleted on Netlify's standard retention schedule.
4. How to Clear or Block Storage
Browser storage is controlled entirely by your browser. You can clear it at any time:
Clearing storage will remove your view preference and the storage-notice dismissal. The site will still work — you'll just see the notice again and the Projects page will reset to its default view.
5. Changes
If we add anything that uses cookies or local storage in the future — for example, an opt-in analytics tool — we'll update this page first and surface the change in the storage notice.
