Black Lines of Code

Black Lines of Code was an exhibition at Copeland Gallery in Peckham in December 2025, curated by Danielle Udogaranya, who works as Ebonix. It brought together 25 artists addressing the lack of representation in the gaming industry, across five rooms of prints, video, playable games and an AR mirror.

KitMapper supplied the screens and installed the show over two days, 9 and 10 December, with a crew of seven on the first day and five on the second, alongside volunteers. The entrance room centred on a floor stack of 19 Barco CRT monitors from our retro stock, run from BrightSign players, with sound from two wall-mounted Martin Audio speakers. Elsewhere we wall-mounted 15 flat screens from 43 to 65 inches and a tablet, hung around 100 prints, 20 framed works and the vinyl and room titles, and helped run cables for seven gaming stations built by volunteers.

Two technicians stayed on to run an 86-inch screen and AV for the panel talk on 11 December and the live event the following night, and we de-installed on 22 December.
