The Commission
Artist Anicka Yi's Hyundai Commission filled the Tate Modern Turbine Hall with an unprecedented ecosystem of scent-scapes and autonomous flying sculptures called aerobes. Each followed a unique flight path generated by software responding to the heat signatures of visitors nearby.
Our Role
KitMapper managed the commission throughout its four-month run. We recruited, trained, and managed two dedicated technician teams, developing the processes and protocols to maintain the artwork every day and ensure the smooth operation of Yi's vision.
