Backs of two male figures, both wearing dark trousers, dark boots, white safety helmets and and white and red hi-vests with KitMapper written at the back. They seem to be discussing something and the figure at the right is pointing to the right. The backdrop of this image is an interior space of a bright industrial building with a lot of daylight coming in through the skylights. The space has grey polished concrete flooring and plain white walls, there are some pillars and scaffolding tubes, some assembled into structures and some laying in the piles on the floor. There are also two other male figures in the background, dressed in bright yellow tops, dark trousers and dark safety-helmets.

Two technicians, in black T-shirts with KitMapper logo on them, they are both wearing glasses and both seem to be carrying something, one is at the far left, with a black cap covering his semi-long hair, with his back facing the camera and the other one has shirt hair, is wearing a bright pink lanyard and is further back at the background, in the center of the image. They are indoor in a large room with cream coloured walls and black wood panels blocking out the windows. There is a black metal flat-screen monitor stand at the foreground, it has no monitor on it, only a horizontal mounting plate. There is a large cardboard box and a low steel-deck stage at the background. Image is focused on the KitMapper logo on the back of the technician, that is closest to the camera.

An image of two technicians at the background, towards the right hand side of the image, one is male and one is female, they seem to be discussing something and are both looking at the steel-deck platform in front of them, covered with live sound and light control equipment. Image is split in half by a cylinder pillar at the center of the image. Technicians and decks are on the right hand side and there is a tall pole light stand, a mini scaffolding tower and a silhouette of another technician on the left. In it is an indoor space - the interior of the room is of a classical design, with the walls all painted in cream colour and light grey flooring.

An interior space of Tate Modern's Turbine Hall with semi-transparent Aerobes floating in the air, looking like jellyfish balloons. some are coloured red on the top, some are light brown and some are dark orange, they all have five flat tentacles. There are other round shapes in the background, those aerobes are opaque. It is a large industrial space with black steel structures on opposing walls and bright white lights running across it on the right hand side and and glass viewing galleries on the left, which are framed by panels of bright white lights around them. One of the Aerobes takes the central stage of the image.

Case Study:

Anicka Yi
In Love With The World,
Tate Modern Turbine Hall

We recruited, trained, and supplied a specialist technical crew for Anicka Yi’s ‘aerobes’ during In Love With The World at Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall.

The challenge was to create an operational, management, and scheduling system for this complex public artwork, requiring constant maintenance of hardware and software over four months. The exhibition ran daily, necessitating clear recruitment briefs and safe, manageable schedules for two teams of four technical specialists.
We prioritised candidates with a blend of cultural understanding and technical skills, ensuring they could maintain the artwork with care and compassion while handling the technical complexities and improvising as needed.
