Returning to Tate Britain carried a particular resonance for the KitMapper team — our Deputy Director Ryszard Lewandowski began his art-handling career at Tate, working across Tate Britain, Tate Modern and Tate Stores. Coming back as part of the delivery team to help install a major new commission was a genuine privilege.
Zineb Sedira's Duveen Galleries commission, When Words Fall Silent, Cinema Speaks, takes on one of the grandest and least neutral spaces in British art, transforming the galleries into an immersive world of cinema, memory, politics, diaspora and collective experience. The Guardian described it as a chic ode to revolutionary cinema — stylish, generous and layered.
KitMapper was proud to support the installation of such an ambitious commission in such an iconic space. When Words Fall Silent, Cinema Speaks is open at Tate Britain until 17 January 2027.
