For Lucy Hardcastle’s long-term public commission, Bubbles of Serenity, we provided specialised technical consultation, custom enclosure fabrication, installation, and maintenance services for two LED walls at Greenwich Peninsula’s Design District.
The indoor 3.5 x 2m LED wall was discreetly installed in the first-floor windows of a double-height atrium, allowing Hardcastle’s 3D CGI artwork to flow seamlessly across the Bureau Building’s exterior. This required a custom installation to safely position the LED panels within the window frames, ensuring safety and subtlety in the public space. For the outdoor screen, we designed and installed an enclosure prominently on Peninsula Square in South East London, adhering to rigorous design and structural engineering standards for the 3.5 x 2m LED wall.
For Sara Sadik’s 2023 Frieze London BMW Open Work commission, we provided specialist consultation, hire, installation, and maintenance services for a 3.5 x 2m outdoor LED screen on the terrace of London’s iconic KOKO club in Camden.
The Absen outdoor LED screen displayed Sadik’s vibrant artwork on the first-floor exterior of the historic venue during Frieze week, coinciding with space activation and live events headlined by Loyle Carner.
The challenge was to safely install the large screen in its scaffold structure on KOKO’s grade-listed terrace, balancing wind-speed ballast requirements with the building’s weight restrictions. We collaborated closely with Frieze, BMW, KOKO, and Camden council to ensure the project’s success.
